22 July 2020 Update

Good afternoon everyone,
Hope all’s well with you and that you’re enjoying some form of normal life.
Although I appreciate some of you have to remain in self isolation, I urge you to keep in touch, since we are stronger together.

With regard to continuing our planned visits, the consensus of those who replied is to wait a little longer before resuming our activities. Also, some because of health issues, are not going to venture out for a very long while.

So as far as the visits to Aberglasney on the 23rd of July, Glyn Bach on the 8th of August these are now cancelled.
I appreciate that Aberglasney is open for visits, so if some of you did want to continue with a walk and talk session with Joseph, then I will ask if this is possible?
With regard to the visit to Glyn bach, Carole the owner, would prefer we visit next year.
The visit to Panteg on 12th September is still an option, but there won’t be any toilets or food available, and I will let you know what David the owner says closer to the date.

From the replies I’ve received, there is an interest in holding winter talks at the Village Hall, and in the hope that this will be possible, then I will get some together.
It’s worth mentioning that the Village Hall remains closed at the moment, but we are making efforts to be ready for the day we can re-open.
On a positive note, the Projector, Projector Screen, Sound System and Hearing Loop is up and running, so we could Zoom if all else fails?

Finally, just an idea:
What do you all feel about having a virtual Vegetable and Flower Show, sending pictures of flowers and vegetables in our gardens to be judged as best in show 2020?

Kind regards,

Roy
