Llanteg Gardening Group Virtual Flower/Vegetable/Craft Show
Please be aware you don't have to be resident in Llanteg to enter, or be a budding Monty
Don.
Also, you don’t have to take a photograph of yourself with your entry, but photographs
must demonstrate that you are at your garden/property, and not for example in Outer
Mongolia, or at the RHS Chelsea…
For all entries, you should email a photograph of your entry and your details
to Roy.james1536@gmail.com by the 21st of September.
All virtual winners will be posted on the Llanteg Facebook page and website in late
September.
Virtual Rules
All entries will be judged by independent anonymous judges, their decision will be final.
Certificates for First, Second and Third places shall be awarded, there will be no entry fee
or prize money.
To enter just send an email to Roy.james1536@gmail.com and the entries should include
the following:-
Your name (age for children).
Picture of your produce or creation, and category.
The first line of your address.
You can submit six photos throughout the summer as your produce grows or your
creation progresses.
Vegetables must be photographed next to a (Hens) egg (boiled or not, but not
scrambled or poached).
Note if you don’t want your photograph on Facebook or Llanteg web site then
please say so.
Adult Entries
Vegetable categories - grown in the: garden, greenhouse, plot, allotment or windowsill
etc.
Longest runner bean, photograph it against a tape measure.
Largest vegetable, such as: pumpkin, onion, courgette, butternut squash….
Five potatoes (of any variety) which have been grown by you.
Four carrots, parsnips, onions, tomatoes, leeks, celery, peppers, beetroot.
Two lettuces or swedes/turnips, celeriac, cabbages, cucumbers, courgettes….
Wonkiest shaped vegetable, any variety.
Fruit categories - photograph of the tree or bush
Apples or pears or rhubarb or berries or any other fruit.
Flower category
An indoor flowering pot plant, grown by you
Any flowers in your own garden.
Floral art category
Design a floral display, using real or artificial flowers, with one ‘prop’ of your
choice that reflects your feelings during lockdown.
Home baking category
Bake your favourite lockdown cake or cakes; with a recipe and a photograph.
Art - Craft category
Photograph something you have made during lockdown. It might be a painting,
carving, knitting, or something else, surprise us.
Photography category - art recreation
Using only what you have in your home or garden to recreate any famous
painting in photograph form. Don’t go as far as a Van Gogh self-portrait!! Then
send your photograph along with the name of the famous painting you are
recreating.
Children’s Entries
You've made it, show us, anything goes!
Have you made something you are proud of? Send a photo of your amazing
‘lockdown’ item, including your name and age.
Poems
Write a poem about lockdown life.
Cooking
Make three decorated biscuits or cakes with a rainbow or bee, or flower design.
Take a photo of your creation.
Photography
Take a photograph of your pet or an animal found in your garden
